The innovative financial product, known as the lastminute.com Visa Card, will allow travellers from next week onwards to pay in the local currency at businesses worldwide, avoiding the hassle of exchanging currency on the road. The widely-accepted Visa card will be also be quickly reloadable using the handy companion app, making it a convenient and trustworthy payment method to rely on while travelling.
The lastminute.com Visa card will allow experienced and novice travellers to avoid carrying cash while visiting foreign destinations, simplifying their lives as well as reducing their risk with a trusted, reliable payment tool.
Customers will be able to access their accounts using the online dashboard or on their mobiles with a slick, user-friendly app, called the lm Card, available for iOS and Android to check their balances, top up their wallets and exchange British Pounds in US Dollars or Euros at any time, whether they are lounging in the sun in Mallorca or skiing across the French Alps.
Cardholders will be able to use their lastminute.com Visa Card to pay in any shop worldwide where Visa cards are accepted as well as withdraw cash from Visa-branded ATMs and to complete online purchases, safe in the knowledge that they are getting better rates than most high-street bureau de change and banks as the card intelligently selects the local currency to ensure the best rate. Finally, the lastminute.com Visa Card will offer some exclusive voucher rewards for early adopters of the card that can be used for their next trips – with a maximum of £250 in vouchers potentially up for grabs (t&cs apply).
