Edge, a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange and wallet platform has announced the launch of their 90-day Pre-Series ‘A’ funding campaign that is set for a maximum goal of $2 million USD. The campaign, which is currently led by Bitmex Ventures, BnkToTheFuture and Fenbushi Capital, invites qualifying investors outside of the United States to join the round through fundraising platform BnkToTheFuture with a minimum investment of $1,000 USD. Funding opportunities might be available to U.S. accredited investors by late September 2019.
“Since the start of this year Edge has added a unique blockchain, five new exchanges for added liquidity, as well as launched various fiat integrations and after this funding round our top priority is to continue to integrate fiat-to-crypto exchanges in every possible jurisdiction,” said Paul Puey, CEO of Edge. “We have a robust roadmap ahead of us and are thrilled to have the added funding resources to meet our goal of becoming a global on-and-off ramp for crypto with no regulatory or banking relationship burden.”
BnkToTheFuture will provide non-US investors the option of joining the round with a minimum contribution of $1,000 via https://bnktothefuture.com/
Remington Ong, partner of Fenbushi Capital said: “We at Fenbushi are proud to support Edge in their fundraising round. The team is well experienced in cryptocurrency and is solving some of the biggest challenges in private key management. We are excited to see their efforts help users buy, trade, and hold cryptocurrency while reducing dependency on centralized exchanges.”
After a successful seed round at the end of 2016, Edge (then known as Airbitz) deployed funds toward increasing usability and created an entirely new crypto-asset application.
In 2018, Edge onboarded several unique blockchains that most non-custodial wallets couldn’t support, additional assets like Monero and Ripple were added, two new crypto-to-crypto exchanges were integrated, making Edge the world’s first and only non-custodial price hunting exchange, and fiat-to-crypto exchanges enabled users to buy digital assets with a credit card in more than 100 countries.
“August has always been a quiet month for investing, yet Edge passed their minimum funding goal on their first day live on BnkToTheFuture.com.” Simon Dixon – Co-Founder & CEO BnkToTheFuture.
