Spire Payments’ POS device range gains approval from Global Payments for Czech deployment

Spire Payments, one of Europe’s leading payment solution providers, has received approval from Global Payments Europe to deploy its entire suite of POS terminals in the Czech Republic and CEE region.

This provides acquirers using (or planning to use) GPE for their payment processing the following benefits:
• State-of-the-art range of Linux OS based POS devices that address all payment environments: desktop, portable mobile
• Contactless payment and NFC capabilities across the entire suite to take advantage of contactless payments, digital wallets and HCE advancements
• Reassurance of estate longevity thanks to the latest 3.x and 4.x PCI security certification
• An ideal proposition for those acquirers facing legacy estate replacement challenges

This significant achievement has only been possible by working with one of Spire Payments’ authorised service providers: SoNet. Established in 1991, SoNet has grown rapidly into a well-respected payment solution integrator within the Central Europe region, providing end-to-end payment solutions, Merchant management solution, Merchant helpdesk and on-site field services and value added services such as loyalty programs and e-vouchers , to name just two.

Combining the capabilities of SoNet’s latest multi-acquirer application framework with Spire Payments’ state-of-the-art product range provides acquirers an extremely versatile and powerful portfolio of payment solutions. Utilising one common (and GPE approved) application across the entire suite not only ensures a consistent user experience, but delivers an environment to rapidly develop, approve and deploy new value-added applications.

Jan Pistelak, CEO of SoNet comments, “SoNet’s success has been partly due to our ability to empower our customers with the latest payment technologies and value-added applications. In collaboration with Spire Payments we can now take this capability to an entirely new level thanks to terminal open Linux OS supporting contactless/NFC capabilities and a powerful development environment even on the latest PCI POI 4.x technology certified until 2023.”

Kazem Aminaee, CEO and President of Spire Payments adds, “Yet again Spire Payments has demonstrated how the versatility of its Linux-based POS range can be exploited by our partners, such as SoNet, to deliver best-in-class payment solutions to our customers. This strategy is key to Spire Payments’ rapid expansion plans which are gaining significant momentum in multiple markets.”
